Delete your GateRoster account
Applies to the GateRoster app for Android and iOS and the web portal
You can delete your account yourself, from inside the app, at any time. No request or waiting period is needed.
In the app
- Open GateRoster and sign in.
- Tap Profile (the person icon in the tab bar).
- Scroll to Danger zone and tap Delete my account.
- Confirm twice. Your account is deleted immediately and you are signed out.
If you can no longer sign in
Email support@mygateroster.com from the email address on the account with the subject "Delete my GateRoster account". We will verify the request and complete the deletion within 7 days, then confirm by reply.
What is deleted
- Your sign-in (the Firebase Authentication user) — you can no longer log in with that email.
- Your name, email address, phone number and profile picture in GateRoster — the record is anonymised.
- All your community memberships and roles.
- All push-notification registrations for your devices.
What is kept, and why
- Visitor passes and gate records created while you were a member stay with your community. They form part of the community's access log, which the community keeps for safety and accountability under its own retention policy (see the Privacy Policy). Your name may appear in those records as the resident who authorised a visit.
- A minimal audit entry noting that an account was deleted (date, anonymised user identifier).
- Billing records of the community, where legally required.
Deleting your account does not remove you from your community's own records. If you have moved out, also tell your community administrator so they can update the unit.
